Due to health reasons, he was unable to hand sign photos for the final years of his life, so obtained one that is hand signed (this one in black felt tip).

Besides serving with the LSSAH, he also served in SS-TV Oberbayern, SS-Heimwehr Danzig, SS-Totenkopf Division, 23. SS-Division Nederland.
